Privacy notice

This notice covers the debtorscout.com website and its waiting list. Debtor Scout itself is not open yet. It will have its own notice, and its own data-processing terms, before anyone uploads anything to it.

In short: if you claim a place, we keep your email address so we can contact you about it. The site sets no cookies and has no analytics or advertising trackers.

Who we are

Debtor Scout is run by a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom. We are the controller of the information described here. Contact us about anything in this notice at team@debtorscout.com.

What we collect

• If you claim a place: your email address, the date and time, and which of the page's two forms you used.
• If you email us: your email address and whatever you tell us.
• When you visit: nothing that we keep. We set no cookies, run no analytics and keep no visitor logs. Our hosting provider handles your IP address briefly to deliver the page and to block abuse.

Why we use it

To contact you about the place you asked for and about testing Debtor Scout. That is our legitimate interest in answering your request. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not sell or share it for marketing.

Who else handles it

• Cloudflare hosts the website and the waiting-list database. The database is held in the European Union.
• Resend sends us an alert when someone signs up. The alert contains only the part of your address after the @, not the full address.

How long we keep it

Until the test places have been allocated and the test has finished, and for no longer than 12 months from when you signed up, unless you become a tester or customer. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email team@debtorscout.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request you can complain to the UK's data protection regulator at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top.
